The unique aspects of the Shawnee Mission NORTH Opportunity Fund include the following fundamental mandate for its Governing Board.

SMNOF shall provide financial aid through direct funding of grant and scholarship gifts to individuals ... and those individuals shall be students currently enrolled at one particular educational institution – Shawnee Mission North High School.

There is no other foundation in the Shawnee Mission School District with this unique purpose.

Our generous contributors are assured that their funds will pay academic and other high school fees for current North students in need of financial assistance. It is this very personal aspect to “Finding & Funding” that our Directors have taken to heart in SMNOF’s Mission.
